Exceptional Sashimi

Magazine pages and travel book pages on sketch paper

While scrolling through an old magazine I had found, I came across an image of a buffet with a fun red hue. Right away, the idea popped into my head to place something behind the windows. The contrast of inserting a scene that completely contradicts the physics of the buffet setting creates an interesting dynamic, evoking a sense of fantasy.

I chose an image of a Portuguese beach on the Algarve Coast, both because I had recently been there and because both images shared a warm quality. The beach feels warm from the sun, while the buffet exudes coziness from the food and lighting. To further enhance the contrast, I added the words "Exceptional Sashimi"—I felt this introduced a touch of humour.
